Ogre You Asshole’s latest album is a compilation of newly arranged versions of some of the band’s best.. and so “FLAG” is the first to be raised.
And while the original version might have sounded more like Modest Mouse, this new version sounds more like Spoon meets Folk Implosion. It’s funkier, it’s a little darker (some one turn on the lights!), and the lower vocals give this song a whole new life.
The new album confidential was released on 2.20.2013 and contains 8 tracks. Buy it at CDJapan.
Let the name calling continue at OYA’s official website.

What is happening with their music style.. ? D: I have not really kept up with their music ever since their member left~ I hope he’ll be well enough to reunite the band someday~~
I guess I really cant get into their new style (‘ 3 `) I miss their more upbeat stuff.

Yeah, I am not big on their new style either. Does anyone know what is their Ex-bassist doing at the moment? I mean, in terms of new projects/band?

i certainly do love their upbeat stuff more, but I’m getting used to this other style of them. Still, I’ve always associated them with their old music and it’ll always be my favorite.

Even though I didn’t like their abrupt musical change after the bassist have left, I am digging this song. But yeah, Their upbeat, indie-rock msuic was so good that it didn’t need to be changed.
