Don’t feel blue.

Lostage’s new single “Blue” off their upcoming album Echoes is an excellent example of alt-rock done right. Crisp vocals, amazing guitars and crashing cymbals with a bit of southern guitar pick flair, it’s like a drive to the southeast coast.

The result is refreshing. The lead singer of Lostage sounds like the singer from REO Speedwagon. I keep expecting him to blurt out “I’m going to keep on Lovin’ you!” And yet the rest of the band pull out this Band of Horses/Gin Blossom alternative blend that just sounds different from most of the J-rock floating around today.
