“Go Back to Monster” is the newest music video by Japanese female-fronted pop-rock band Sebastian X. On one hand, this video full of bright red polka dots and stripes, combined with lead singer Manatsu Nagahara’s high pitched vocals along with the overall energetic playing style gives this song somewhat of a Judy and Mary-like vibe. On the other hand the at times traditional Japanese style of singing and playing, Nagahara’s piercing voice, the chaotic pace, melodies, and punk-style bass are more reminiscent of Number Girl.

However, no matter how you take it, one thing is for sure about this song: the chorus is catchy as heck.

“Go Back to Monster” is part of Jaccs “Songs to cheer on your dreams” campaign and so far does not seem to have a release date.  Nevertheless, Sebastian X’s first full album “Futures” was recently released on 2011/10/05, and is available for purchase from sites such as cdjapan.
