Yes! Let’s get this party started and bring out the girls. Honestly, humor played a giant role in my selection of top 10 videos for 2011. And as you can see for video #10 there is some humor and some serious fan service.

#10 Wasureranneyo’s video for  “ＣからはじまるＡＢＣ”

Is this a gravure idol video? No. It’s a rock fest. See the dudes of Wasureranneyo rocking out in the small square in the corner, or are you too busy looking at something else? This video is hilarious, titillating and brilliant, I say!

#9 Mop of Head- “Retronix Symphony”

Watch the pulsing ball. Now watch a parade of balls turn to blobs and turn to animals that bounce to the tremendous techno beat. Then it turns into “In the mouth of madness” and gets all freaky. Mop of Head created an excellent album this year, and “Retronix Symphony” is one of many memorable tracks on their album RETRONIX.

#8 Merpeoples- Ikenai Rouge Magic

Merpeoples will charms the pants off you with only some lip gloss and some blinking christmas lights. A magnificent cover song and an appropriately simple video can still hold a lot of style just by focusing on the the girls of the band. Adorable and worthy of spot #8.
