The Cokehead Hipsters release a cover album of classic rock songs. Wait. What?
Their first PV is for the Queen classic “We Will Rock You.” The sound is absolutely nothing like Queen. The band takes a Red Hot Chili Pepper’s approach to the 1970′s song and adds funk, psychedelic elements and crunchy guitars. The PV looks like a Dee-lite acid trip. It’s quite amusing and something you will ultimately want to forget.
Regardless, it’s the unique way they handled the song that gets points in my book. I can only imagine how the rest of the album sounds: Coverhead Hipsters was released 2.23.2011 and includes 80′s hits like My Sharona, Blue Monday, Walk Like an Egyptian, Funkytown and Come on Eileen. Score it at Yesasia.
