A marked return to the limelight since their release of “CREATURES” earlier this year, ストレイテナー (STRAIGHTENER) thrusts forward with the video for the song “VANISH”. Coming off their upcoming self-cover album “STOUT”, there isn’t much that hasn’t been seen before here by the band. At least music-wise. If you’re a fan of STRAIGHTENER’s past work, it’s a best bet that you’re gonna like what they have to offer here as it doesn’t deviate much from their tried and true alternative-rock formula. Along the same lines, if you weren’t a fan before, you probably still won’t be.

But, when it comes to the video, the band offers quite the adventure as guitarist Jun Ooyama takes up the role of the Western wanderer, traveling the barren desert and defeating his fellow band members one-by-one in classic style. EMI labelmates the telephones even make an energetic cameo in the video.
