When a frontman develops their own solo project, it is often far more difficult to carry over any connection from the original band. Afraid that it will get too similar and becomes pointless, it is not uncommon to see artists delve wildly away from their source material. Akira Ishige (石毛輝) of the Japanese new-wave/electronic rock band known as the telephones dares to be different when it comes to this.
Coming off his upcoming solo debut album “from my bedroom”, the video for “Flowers On The Wall” presents a much different picture than telephones fans are used to. Gone is the energetic dance rock atmosphere. In its place, we get a much more laid-back and reflective portrait. But, I’m sure fans will pick up and enjoy the bits and pieces from his original band that Ishige manages to incorporate into his project.
You can find more info on the telephones and Ishige’s solo project at the telephones’ official website.

the intro could have been shortened with a minute and in that place could have given it a bridge or anything of the likes. Nevertheless really cool music and I like the image he creates.
