Envy is bringing a classical hardcore sound to their latest effort: “worn heels and the hands we hold.”  I’ve got to say that it is rather beautiful.

Growling into the forest walls over crashing cymbals and superfast drumming create an escalating effect that cresendoes into blissful scripture reading. It’s rather epic. “Epic” being used in its proper meaning, not in the overused word of the summer meaning for cool.

You should totally check out Envy because they are touring in the U.S. right now. Yes! LIVE! Dates can be found at their official website and myspace page.

The single “worn heels and the hands we hold” is off of Envy’s newest album Recitation out today 9.22.2010. Get it at Yesasia.com now.

Rarely listen to this type of music, but I like it. Might check them out in SF if I like the album. Thanks! :O

I miss the days of the 8 minute “EPIC.” Sad to see there’s no South Florida stops on their route through the U.S. Would have been a great show to see.
