Even at first listen, “ãƒãƒ©ãƒ³ã‚¹” (Balance) separates itself from what could be called the quintessential OGRE YOU ASSHOLE. It could even easily be called their lightest work ever. Slowly yet surely guiding you into a rising wave of euphoric bliss, the song really represents OYA stepping a bit outside of their element. Light yet effective synthwork and a consistent ethereal mood felt throughout are just some of the elements of “ãƒãƒ©ãƒ³ã‚¹” that hasn’t really been seen all that much from the band’s previous work. If this represents the trend to come in their upcoming mini album “æµ®ã‹ã‚Œã¦ã„る人” (Ukareteiru Hito), consider me excited.
You can find more info on OGRE YOU ASSHOLE at their official website. Also, for all you American OYA fans, they are planning on making a US tour as support for the Canadian indie rock band Wolf Parade in November. You can find all the dates and locations for the tour here.

I’ve already bought my ticket; I’m so excited to see them even though the Sound Academy is terrible haha. This song is so light and breezy, a nice summer song. =)
