Junji Ishiwatari of Supercar produces a lot of great rock bands. He just happens to be producing new band Banbi too. Their first single  is “グローランプ” which Yesasia.com translates as “Glow Lamp.”  And CdJapan.co.jp translates as “Grow Lamp.” Ugh.   Well whether a glower or a grower… Banbi should warm the heart and grow to a successful band. So get it August 4th, 2010 from either of those fine retailers.

This 4-piece band of youngsters have a great sound. The lead singer has a great voice and great high-water rolled up jeans. The band has a great up-beat sound. Banbi’s myspace says they are a powerpop band. I can go with that.. but it still straight up rocks. Also make sure to hear some snippets of other tracks while you are at their myspace page.
