From the powerhouse Japanese electro-dance group 80kidz, it’s all new and yet more of the same. With the upcoming EP “Spoiled Boy”, the group presents their first release since the departure of long-standing founding member Mayu and their transformation into a Daft Punk-esque two-man duo. Some might think this could lead to a dramatic shift in identity. Yet, judging from the music video for “Spoiled Boy”, 80kidz seems like they are mainly going to stick with their tried-and-true formula of creating catchy dance beats with a solid club mindset. Not that is any sort of problem, especially for fans of their previous works.

Their sound in this track reminds me a lot like a modern version of Blondie’s Rapture.

Awesome and fun to listen to! The vocalist is the lead singer of CSS but the male voice imitation thing reminds me a lot of The Knife or something =P Love the chorus.
