Posted a couple of weeks ago by wonderful folks at Black XS and La Blogotheque, Japanese indie folk artist Shugo Tokumaru is the topic of the first entry in the “Black XS Live Sound Take Away Shows” series, which focuses on presenting up-and-coming artists all over the world in their natural habitat. Taking place at Shimokitazawa, which is by far my favorite place in all of Tokyo, the film shows Tokumaru and his live crew walking the streets, playing a stripped-down version of the song “Linne”, which can be found on his latest album “Port Entropy”. This is certainly a real treat for anyone who enjoys close intimate views of Tokyo and its artists.
Feel free to visit Black XS for more info on this project and Shugo Tokumaru’s official website. I’d also really recommend picking up “Port Entropy”.
