It’s been confirmed through Hydeout Productions’ official website that legendary and internationally renowned hip-hop producer Nujabes has passed away.

Seba Jun (aka Nujabes) died after a car crash on February 26th, 2010, according to the official site. He was 36 years old.
This is tragic and truly sad news. Nujabes’ brand of laid-back and sophisticated music opened some doors into amazing hip-hop, for me. Besides his masterful releases like Modal Soul and my personal favorite Metaphorical Music, I discovered a camp of incredible hip-hop artists like Shing02, Substantial, and Cyne.
Nujabes’ legacy will live on through his music and Hydeout plans to make his unreleased work available.
In memory of Nujabes, here’s “Luv (sic.) pt.3″ featuring Shing02:
Nujabes, you will be missed ;_;

Yeah…it still hasn’t fully sunken for me =(
Last week I was making a playlist to listen to while snowboarding and put a handful on Nujabes tracks on it. I was reminded how awesome and chill his stuff made me feel. He may be gone but his music will always affect me in the same, great way.
