Okay, so we’ve known about the upcoming Japan Nite US Tour 2009 for the past fortnight or two and now we’re pumped up enough to dish the details (*find out why after the dates).
This year’s Japan Nite Tour will ignite stages across the United States with some of Japan’s hottest indie acts. Running from March 20th to 29th, the featured bands will play shows in eight US cities. The tour kicks off March 20th & 21st at SXSW in Austin and concludes on the 29th at The Knitting Factory in L.A.

We knew the tour would stop in Denver and it was more recently announced that they’re coming to the Bluebird Theater. You know what that means? Well, probably not so I’ll say. *SparkPlugged will be there and if you’re in the area you should be too. If you’re within a couple hundred miles of any of the other tour stops, by all means go go go! If we can come out of exile for this one then surely you can skip work or hitchhike with strangers if need be — though we do not officially condone this behavior.

This is a perfect excuse to post the PV for “水のようだ” (Mizu no youda, like water) by SPARTA LOCALS. Enjoy:

I wish there was something like that in France, but the whole world seems to think that Europe is a country, that’s why I think the tour would be limited to just one concert for each country.
I’d like to come to Denver though…

@Audrey – Thanks & it’s my pleaure =) I look forward to meeting you there too! It’s going to be an amazing show.
@Max – I know what you mean about that and it’s unfortunate. At least you could get one show in Paris or something but I’m sure that’s not enough. I wish all of these bands coming to SXSW were continuing the tour here…
@Jimi – Sparkpluggers united!! You’re lucky ’cause you get the Friday night show! I’ll see ‘em on a Thursday (I’d take any day of the week) but Friday nights rock for concerts — helluva way to start a weekend =P
@lops – We’ll be sure to shower you with as many details as possible. Like I said to Max, I wish bands (like Dirty Old Men & Grapevine) did the whole tour. I can’t complain though because SPARTA LOCALS, Detroit7, and FLiP (thanks j!) are more than enough =P hehe.
