LAST ALLIANCE is always in my heart

LAST ALLIANCE is always in my heart, at least their latest maxi single is.

Released on April 16, Always in My Heart is 2 tracks that will have you begging for more. As the band’s 7th single, it follows the line of LAST ALLIANCE’s rapid, melodic brand of rock.

Formed in 2002, LAST ALLIANCE is Anzai Ryusuke (安斉龍介, vocals & guitar), Matsumara Takahiko (松村孝彦, vocal & bass) Sano Shingo (佐野森吾, guitar), and Ozawa Hiroshi (小澤浩史, drums).

Continuing the tradition with most of their singles/EPs, there is no track titled “Always in My Heart” on Always in My Heart.

Both tracks on Always in My Heart begin with a brief introduction. “片膝の汚れ” (Katahiza no Yogore) fades in with a Flamenco-esque acoustic guitar part that gives way in an electric punch. Anzai and Sano’s guitars kick things off well as the song only continues to get better. Harmonious vocals continue from verse to chorus and back. “片膝の汚れ” is the ending theme for the anime RD - Real Drive.

The second track is “I.O.J.F.K”. The track begins with a sweeping ambience that comes to a point. “I.O.J.F.K” is similarly good, much like the preceding track.

The only downside to Always in My Heart is its briefness. Its two tracks combine for a whole 8 minutes of play. Granted it’s good, a couple more tracks could give it so much more. The LAST ALLIANCE boys must be pretty confident in the goodness of Always in My Heart and that’s rightfully so I suppose.
