The balancing bookshelf
By Shay • Mar 23rd, 2008 • Category: Bonus Happy Fun TimeThe balancing act of life is by no means fun, but when it comes to balancing physical objects, it can be suprisingly amusing. That’s especially true when it comes to balancing books on an aesthetically-cool piece of furniture.
“Maintain The Balance of Your Knowledge!”
This balancing bookshelf from designer Denis Oh (not the actor Dennis O’Neil aka “Dennis Oh” I assume), brings some slick interaction to the all-to-often boring and static bookshelf. This dynamic creation has style and lets you show off your harmonizing skills for guests. It may make removing a book a challenge though, but hopefully that won’t discourage you from reading your favorite Murakami novels.

That is pretty cool. When you told me you were doing a post on a self balancing bookshelf, I had no idea what to expect. I thought it was going to be disaster zone!!
Anyways, it looks pretty cool. It might be fun to build one.
Wow! This is really creative! And it looks more like a piece of art, nice matching blue wall too.
Todd: Yeah, building one could actually be fun :) Sounds like a good idea, but depending on how I did it, that could be a disaster zone :P
Apple: I agree, it is art. I don’t know who paints their walls that color of blue but it looks nice for sure :)

ME!
I had this colour on my walls about 3 years ago, but i’ve since changed to a beige colour.
The bookshelf looks cool though, I’m not sure if i would want one though imagine picking war and peace from one end of the book shelf.
