Incheon Int’l Airport ranked #1
By Shay • Mar 11th, 2008 • Category: newsIncheon International Airport was ranked the “Best Airport Worldwide” by the Airports Council International (ACI).
The annual service quality survey ranks airports based on results from 200,000 passenger questionnaires. The study ranks the top 99 airports in the world.
The Korean airport came out on top for the third consecutive year. It’s worth noting that all the top 5 best airports were in Asia. Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Singapore’s Changi Airport, Hong Kong International Airport, and Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya, Japan ranked 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th respectively.
“At Incheon, the management team takes pride in delivering quality airport service and sees it as being part of the overall tourism value chain – good for their airport and their nation. That means that the commitment is given very high priority politically as well as operationally by the airport,” Program director Craig Bradbrook said in the ACI press release.
This is more good news for travelers in, to, and from Korea; considering Korean Air won World’s Best Economy Class in the 2007 World Airline Awards by Skytrax.
While flying is flying no matter where you are, it’s worth knowing who is good at what based on statistics and opinion. This isn’t a unanimous view though, nothing is that spectacular.

I’m really not surprised tbh when you look at the airports in the UK, service is dreadful
I take the train now, can be slower but none of them stupid check in times
haha ya, flying is no fun anywhere. Maybe some places provide more pleasant experience than others, but it’s not too amazing :P Traveling by train sounds inviting :)
