Toshiba robophones to conquer all

By Shay • Feb 29th, 2008 • Category: Bonus Happy Fun Time, Features

If robots ever want to take over the world, infiltrating our lines of communcation would be a good starting point.

The Toshiba’s 815T PB “PhoneBraver” on Softbank may make that task that much easier.

Actually, they’re pretty cool and I’d certainly risk robot domination to get my hands on one of these bad boys.

Complete with arms, legs, and an animated face display, the PhoneBraver “comes with enough artificial intelligence to learn the user’s habits.” It’s based on robo-phones called “Keitai Sousakan 7″ in an upcoming television drama.

The cellular humanoid can carry on simple conversations with its owner and perform all the other cellphone-standard tasks.

Who cares what the iPhone can do, I want my cell to with arms, legs, and a face! No info on pricing or availability but it comes out in April.

  2. The Japansee come out with some crazy stuff…. But I’ve got to admit I would love one of those. Would be cool if the arms and legs folded away so that he could suddenly pop into “ROBO Mode” would scare the life out of people

  3. haha for sure. That would be really slick if they were retractable. Robophone activate. People would freak if arms and legs popped out of their seemingly normal cellphone :P lol
