supreme sound recreation – J.O.K.E.R
By Shay on Feb 18th, 2008Good luck trying to classify supreme sound recreation into one or even two genres.
“J.O.K.E.R” is the seven-member band’s first major single.
supreme sound recreation formed while at a Kobe university in 2002. They released their self-titled, indie debut mini-album in 2006 and signed a deal with SME (Sony Music Entertainment) Records in 2007.

As for the members, they offer us this math: 2MC+Gu.+Ba.+Dr.+Key.+DJ = 7. Blending hip-hop, rock, jazz, soul, and latin, supreme sound recreation produces a full and unique sound.
Since rapping dominates much the vocal sector of supreme sound recreation’s music, a good characterization of their work would be hip-hop with live instruments. They remind me a lot of the American hip-hop band Wylde Bunch actually.
“J.O.K.E.R” sounds like an awesome jam session at first but once things progress, it’s apparent that “J.O.K.E.R” is carefully composed. It’s a good time.
