Attitude bursts out with smooth rhymes and infectious hooks spun together in a trademark SOUL’D OUT fabric. The trio’s long-awaited new album is here.

The Japanese hip-hop trio’s latest release Attitude is surely a trip worth taking. While the elements that the group is known for remain, Attitude continues down the path forged by the preceding singles that appear on the album. Making an even more distinct use of electronic sounds, the buzzing saw synths contrast well with lead MC Diggy-MO’s smooth rhymes.

Though the album takes on a more futuristic theme, SOUL’d OUT’s Attitude is a great throw back to the past. “GROWN KIDZ” sounds like something out of the 80s while tracks like “COZMIC TRAVEL” and “GASOLINE” could hold their own on a 70s disco dancefloor.

Though almost every track on Attitude shares a common synthy thread, there is enough variation to keep things fresh.

Attitude by SOUL’d OUT is 1 hour and 10 minutes of solid listening that doesn’t let down. One caveat though: some of the songs may get stuck in your head.
