Through the smoke and the flames rides RIKI aboard a dekotora, proving that jumpsuits and decorated trucks can make for a dazzling combination.
RIKI is the pompadoured “twin brother” of actor Riki Takeuchi (竹内力). Having starred in such films as Tokyo Mafia, Battle Royale II: Requiem, and Takashi Miike’s Dead or Alive series, Takeuchi began appearing as the flashy, over-the-top singer RIKI in 2007.
His comedic alter-ego’s latest single is “ç´…ã®ãƒãƒƒã‚¯ãƒ•ァイヤー” (Kurenai no Backfire, Crimson Backfire).
The chromatically preigniting tune is the fitting theme to the Japanese Wii game, Dekotora
That gives us this math: Riki Takeuchi + dekotora trucks + a Wii game about dekotora trucks = jazzy snazziness.
RIKI’s fits right in with the dekotora; rocking a slick doo, sunglasses, and a fiery, baggy jumpsuit.
The “ç´…ã®ãƒãƒƒã‚¯ãƒ•ァイヤー” single includes a song that pits RIKI versus Verbal from m-flo as well as two karaoke tracks.
Tracklisting:
01. ç´…ã®ãƒãƒƒã‚¯ãƒ•ァイヤー
02. ç”·ã®å守唄 RIKI VS VERBAL(m-flo)
03. ç´…ã®ãƒãƒƒã‚¯ãƒ•ァイヤー(カラオケ)
04. ç”·ã®å守唄 RIKI VS VERBAL(m-flo)(カラオケ)
