The “New Legend” of Galneryus

The premiere power metal band from Osaka, Japan recently released their fourth album, ONE FOR ALL - ALL FOR ONE and along with it, the single “New Legend”.
Syu (lead guitar), Yama-B (vocals), Yu-To (bass), Yuhki (keyboards), and Satoh (drums) strike back with another fast and heavy piece of metal greatness.
ONE FOR ALL - ALL FOR ONE is the band’s fourth album overall and their third LP since 2005. Since then, Galneryus’s fans have enjoyed on a consistant diet of good songs and great albums. ONE FOR ALL - ALL FOR ONE does not dissapoint.
Just like all the band’s albums, ONE FOR ALL - ALL FOR ONE is a beautiul melding of rapidly driving guitars, smooth vocals, and more. Galneryus’s brand of power metal is familiar enough to be appealing but unique enough to stand out beyond and above.
The leading single off of the Japanese rockers’ most recent release is titled “New Legend”. While it isn’t as melodic as some past singles, it’s equally intense and good.
The PV for “New Legend” is cool. It’s actually very similar to their other video minus the matching costumes. The video focuses on the band and them playing. Guitar solo close ups, split screen action, and extreme camera angles; it’s all out of the power metal music video playbook. That’s still a good thing in my eyes though.
Personally, the latest effort by Galneryus isn’t as striking as some of their past work (namely that off of the 2005 Advance to the Fall album), but it is surely solid. I am a fan of Galneryus and their latest work is impressive.
