Goodie Memories with Hinouchi Emi
By Shay • Sep 19th, 2007 • Category: Japan, Videos, music, popHinouchi Emi’s latest single is…well, “goodie”.
The Japanese songstress Hinouchi Emi (日之内エミ) recently released her new single titled “GOODIE MEMORIES”. The vocalist, who gained fame from her collaborations with hip-hop duo m-flo and was pretty much discovered by m-flo’s Taku Takahashi, is once again actively pursuing her solo career.
Released on Sept. 5, “GOODIE MEMORIES” is pretty nice song. The accompanying musical loops sound like something produced by Taku himself. It’s good programmed-loop catchiness. While there isn’t much musical variety Hinouchi makes up for it vocally. It actually makes things more impressive and the vocals shine through more.
Hinouchi Emi has released 2 singles since May of 2007. Before then, she hadn’t released any solo material since 2003. With that known, we can probably expect that an album isn’t too far off. There’s no official word yet though.
From ‘04 through early ‘07, she had been busy with an array of collaborations and even wrote songs for the now-defunct female hip-hop duo Heartsdales. In addition to collaborating with them, she is most famous for her work with m-flo as well as SOUL’d OUT, Black Bottom Brass Band, Teriyaki Boyz, and the Korea hip-hop trio Epik High.
I like “GOODIE MEMORIES” and its PV. The PV has that pop flair but it still maintains an “I’m better than the norm” sophistication. Needless to say, she and the video are beautiful.

I really enjoy her releases. I read that she has health issues with her vocal cords which may have affected her schedule. It’s really unfortunate. Hope she will get better soon and release some more good stuff.
Really!? That’s too bad and I hope she’ll get better soon. For herself, for her fans :) Thanks for the info, where did u read that btw?
It was mentioned on her blog, offical website and Japanese wikipedia site.
Oh ya, for sure it’s the stop story :P I didn’t even look thanks man
