What do you get when you cross world class athletes and acrobats with crazy Japanese humor? You get an event so weird that it can only be known as a ‘muscle musical’ and can definitely be found in a weird little town known as Las Vegas.

I recently went to Vegas during the summer. While selling me a ticket, the girl working at the ticketing office described this show as some sort of a Japanese Cirque Du Soleil. The show is called Matsuri. It is certainly worth it if you like weird Japanese humor and copious amounts of action.

There are about two dozen Japanese acrobats running around, jumping over things, doing cartwheels, and that kind of thing. Then there are some great skits, acts, and such built in. Many of the actors and actresses are Olympic athletes, or otherwise world class. There is ever a champion yo-yoer who comes out a couple times. One of the times he is balancing on a giant 12 foot globe when they turn off the lights and his duel yo-yo light up as he shoots them through the air.

This is certainly a class act that I would recommend for your entire family. it’s a bit pricey, but if you like action and comedy, it is worth it.

It was a really neat show. =D

The pics don’t really show some of the really weird skits that they were doing.
