RADWIMPS…it’s okay

One of my favorite songs off of Japanese rock band RADWIMPS’ 4th album was “いいんですか” (Iin desu ka, Is it okay?). Although the album came out in December 2006, it’s still hard to put down. I’m not certain on when the video for “いいんですか” came out but it did (obviously filmed in the colder months).

The music video itself is pretty cool. This time the band decided to make things simple (the inverse of “Setsunarensa”) and I like it. Yojiro, Akira, Yusuke, and Satoshi playing in a field while surrounded by a circle of people…such a good time. Watch.

    Yeah Todd I agree. I like it because it’s soft enough to be relaxing (and in the bg) but melodic enough to keep me listening over and over. There’s like 3 different catchy parts in the song, hehe :P

    Another album to the cart. I enjoy their style of music. It’s somewhat rock-ish but within the song, they switch it up and make parts of the song sound completely different. Other than that, the lead singers voice is very calm but does make it’s mark on the beat of the song.

    RADWIMPS has the uncanny ability to put so much variation within their songs. It’s pretty cool to hear a verse, bridge, and chorus that sound so distinctly different yet combine to form a complete song that still flows. ^-^ I love it!

    I looooove this band!!
    I live and work in Japan and my coworker randomly played it during our break and now I’m hooked… hope I get to see a live show while I’m still in Tokyo.. :)
