I don’t understand a lot of things about other cultures. And one of these things that I don’t understand is humor. I have never understood British humor, and I don’t know if anyone has. I don’t understand whow our humor here in the the States is funny either.
Apparently there is more humor in the world that I just don’t quite understand. I just ran into this Japanese pacman skit. It’s pretty funny visually, but I have no idea what any of the people are saying so who knows if it is really funny or not!
It seems like the words really help build up the punch line, but the words are Greek to me. It’s quite frustrating!
If you speak Japanese, watch this movie and let me know if what they are saying is funny. If you don’t speak Japanese, watch this movie it’s kind of funny.

I saw this video on youtube a few weeks ago (I love Kitano! ^o^). I think it’s funny.
I agree with the fact that american humor is very different from british or french humor (they’re both quite similar). Well… I have to say that american humor makes me laugh once every 3 years… I think… I saw a TV show called ‘Comedy Inc.’ and I was just like: -___-” What it supposed to be funny?…
But I have to say that I love The Simpsons’ humor. :)
so, here is my opinion. ^_~

haha yeah, Toad…this is really funny. Great find.
I have some troubles with humor as well. British humor is funny to me once in a while. Sometimes American comedy is okay, but if I actually like something, it ALWAYS gets overdone ><.
I agree with you saidai, The Simpsons makes me laugh a lot. ^^
I do like watching Japanese TV shows with funny comedians. Of course Kitano is great but my favorite Japanese comedians of the moment are アンガールズ (ungirls). They’re a hilirous (and goofy) comedy duo that make me laugh all the time even if I don’t know what they say. “jungajungajungajunga”…what!? (their famous phrase @_@)

I saw アンガールズ on some gaki no tsukai shows. I should watch more of them. I’m a huge fan of DOWNTOWN and their show!

I’ve also never seen the basketball one, but the ping pong one is awesome!
