In Memoriam: James Kim, 1971-2006
By Shay • Dec 8th, 2006 • Category: Technology, internet, newsI’m sure that many of us know by now about the death of James Kim. This tragedy is especially heart-felt for me since I knew of him and who he was.
James Kim was a senior editor at CNET. I particulary remember him from his days at TechTV. He was a regular tech guy on the show The Screensavers. This story would not have been so shocking to me if I didn’t know of him previous to the event. When I first heard the story about the Kim family missing things didn’t come together until I saw a photo of him. At that moment I realized who he was and where I’d seen him on before.
His family survived and he died trying to save them. His legacy and heroism will surely live on.
CNET put together a video tribute (what convinced me to finally post about this)

It’s definitely a sad news. :-( Best wishes to his family and friends.
