random import-o-rama
By Shay • Aug 15th, 2006 • Category: Japan, More, Opinion, musicHaving recently recieved a boxfull of Japanese CDs from my special someone makes me happy! I officially recieved 2 handfuls worth of CDs…as you can see in the photo below =P. At my request, these were some artists and albums on my awesome wishlist.
ACIDMAN - and world
Def Tech - Catch the Wave
Quruli - NIKKI
Quruli - Assorted songs
Love Psychedelico - III
Love Psychedelico - Orchestra
It’s a rather eclectic variety. Allow me to briefly elaborate on the mentioned artists…
ACIDMAN - They are a great Japanese indie band that really exists in classification all their own. Whether fast or slow, ACIDMAN’s songs always remain packed-full-of-energy.
Def Tech - I really like this Japanese/Hawaiian Jawaiian Reggae duo. Their messages are positive and their songs catchy. ‘Catch the Wave’ offers 2-discs of fun.
Quruli - Quruli is one of my favorite Japanese bands. While past works such as ‘The World is Mine’ are great, “NIKKI” is a good album too. Quruli makes me happy.
Love Psychedelico - It’s hard to classify this guy/girl blues/rock duo…see? That fact doesn’t take away from thier grandeur but rather adds to it immensly.
ありがとう照代.
