What the hell Zatch Bell?

As I think back, I feel happy…reminiscing about the evenings that I spent in my dorm room watching Zatch Bell with my girlfriend. Yeah, it’s a pretty silly thing to admit doing with your girlfriend but the enjoyable experience of watching that odd little show on Cartoon Network made it all worth while.

Zatch Bell (金色のガッシュベル/Konjiki no Gasshu Beru/Golden Gash Bell) is about the only anime that I’ve warmed up to on CN. I am fascinated with the mixture of a stereotypical shonen style and hilirious humor. I really enjoy the characters as well. I also can’t stress how much I’d like to have a VULCAN300!

I’ve also indulged in the manga series which is equally enjoyable. While Zatch Bell sort of deviates from my normal anime/manga tastes, I feel that it is the synthesis of certain elements that make it special to me.

Sadly enough though, I’ve lost track of the series. Due to a summer of working (mostly evenings, when the show usually comes on), I’ve missed many of the newer episodes. I feel ashamed of myself since I become so happy with every viewing. My plan to counter this is not to tape it though. Next time I’m at Animeniacs in Denver, I’ll just buy the HK import series box set. So what? Who cares if it’s subtitles are in “Engrish”?

Also, can anyone fill me in on what’s happened? Say, within the last 5-10 episodes. Thanks

    I’m not ashamed at all…it just sounds funny to say, “watching anime with my girlfriend” (because she’s not really into it but she does like Zatch Bell of course). It’s actually a really COOL thing to do!

    Ep 63, Battle with Victoream continues, he uses his strongest spell, Chagur imisdon, zatch and crew manage to trick him and mohawk ace into dropping V’s book, Victoream us beaten. Leila and Dalmos appear at end.

    Ep 64, Dalmos has Zatch ,Tia, and kanchome on the ropes, Leila betrays Dalmos and helps Zatch and his crew, Tia and Kanchome escape to the city to meet with Apollo. Ponygon goes to find Sunbeam. Dalmos is on verge of victory until Ponygon and sunbeam arrive

    Ep 65, Ponygon, and Sunbeam defeat Dalmos with their two spells, Shudoruk and Go Shudoruk
