This MLB news is recently in…NY Mets second baseman Kaz Matsui was traded to the Colorado Rockies in return for Eli Marrero.
It may be a tradedown for the Rockies since they also received an additional $4.5 million in the trade. Oh well though. This is great for Rockies fans (I mostly mean myself). While I am first and foremost a Seattle Mariners fan (forever), the Rockies are in 2nd place on my team list being that they are my hometown (more like homestate) team.

Kazuo Matsui is surely well known. Most recently he amazed people with his in-the-park home run during his first at-bat of the 2006 season. (also don’t forget that he has homered in his first at-bats for the past 3 seasons…wow!)
Matsui will initially play for the Rockies’ AAA affiliate, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (my actual hometown team ^_^). There is still no timetable for when Matsui will make an appereance in Colorado but when he does, you can expect me to show up at the ballpark to watch him play.
As a fan of Japanese Baseball and its players, this is immensly cool. More importantly, Kaz Matsui has been one of my favorite players since he began playing in the MLB.

If you like Japanese Baseball. You should watch the Japanese Drama – H2 – which is originally a manga. Maybe you have seen it already, but if you havn’t, it’s about a bunch of high school students and their passion for baseball. It’s a very good show. I loved it! :D

Heeeyyyyy, this isn’t about the World Cup. Talk about how Japan lost to crap ass Australia in a pitiful upset that is only slightly better than… ok way better than America losing to the Czechs. I’m embarrassed for America.

I agree with you, bentong. Yeah, Japanese enthusiasm for the baseball is from national wide baseball tournament which decides the best team in whole high schools in Japan. The drama will help you know it!

I am fan of Kaz Matsui! He reallly is a good player. Same here, he is also one of my favorite. I really didn’t miss his games. And about ‘Japanese Drama – H2′ , I saw that one too! Really great show! :)
