Sumo Cops
By Shay • Apr 1st, 2006 • Category: Japan, humor, news, sportsAfter finding an unlocked door in Osaka, a Japanese burglar got more than he bargained for, much more.
While rummaging about the room in the early hours of the morning, the burglar was in for a big suprise. He was confronted by a sumo wrestler, Dewanosato. Dewanosato then squeezed him in a bear-hug. Upon the citizen’s arrest, Dewanosato hollared to awake his fellow sumo wrestler buddies.
The burglar later said to police, “First I was caught by a massive man. When the lights turned on, I was surrounded by more than a dozen sumo wrestlers. I was surprised.”
Being arrested by sumo wrestlers would be more than scary if it happened to me. They may be nice guys but thier size and stregth is more than enough to reduce any man to mindless obedience. Being squeezed to death is much worse than simply being handcuffed. I’m afraid Chuck Norris couldn’t even fight away a dozen sumo wrestlers. Sorry folks.
These facts known, it would be a great idea for Japanese police to start a sort of ‘Sumo Brigade’. Thier presence would stop any would-be criminal in his tracks. But then again, maybe the police wouldn’t like this idea. If sumo wrestlers were on the force, they’d surley stretch donut supplies thin.

Haha. I would’ve loved to seen the look on the burglar’s face at the exact moment he realized who was surrounding him.
That is hilarious! Haha! I bet you that they will make a drama, movie, anime, and manga about this. They’ll call it “Sumo Trap” or “Super Sumo Sentai!”
Sumiyoshi Pilgrim: I wish there was a photo of that. But my imagination of his look is more than funny enough. haha.
kagofeet: If “Super Sumo Sentai” ever happens, please sign me up on the preorder list.
If I am the burglar and confronts Dewanosato. I’ll kick him in the shin, pook his eyes, and jump-kick his “private” part. Then escape as fast as possible.
Good luck with that Ben, hopefully your speed will outperform his strengh. Hey, the faster one usually wins, right?
[...] This guy and this guy are given a run for their money. Those guys were just unlucky. The criminal this time was just odd. But, This Chinese guy still takes the cake when it comes to odd crimes. Posted by Shay Filed in Japan, News, Humor Rate this post: [...]
