I’m sure we’d all love to have our own robot some day. I know I would. I’ve always liked ASIMO but after asking myself what ASIMO could do for me, I began to rethink my idea. Sure, ASIMO can run and I guess it’d be cool to play soccer with him. But I should really get a ‘CareBot’. That’s how I’d refer to the creation known as RI-MAN.

RI-MAN is a “soft human interactive robot”. Not only does he have plushy skin, he is made to interact with humans. RI-MAN has the “ability to realize human care an welfare tasks”. He is made to take care of people, particularly the elderly. RI-MAN almost appears to be the real life creation of ‘Rosie’ from TV’s The Jetsons.

With that known and said, I want one! I know I’m not elderly but I’ll be there eventually. Why not plan ahead and get a RI-MAN while I’m still young? Once I save up my money, I’ll look into getting one. And with my tax refund, maybe I’ll still get that ASIMO I’ve always wanted.
