Go get eHit

If you aren’t into NetFlix but want to join up with something like that AND you are an Asian movie fan, you are indeed in luck. There is a NetFlix-type site that specializes in Asian movies. Cool? That’s what I thought.
The aforementioned site is called eHit. eHit specializes in online Asian DVD rentals. That pretty much makes it the Asian version of NetFlix. Specifically speaking, eHit offers Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and even American movies. If you must indulge, you can even rent Asian pornos. Man, if one of those genres didn’t get you excited I don’t know what will.
eHit rocks the online rental world with a Chinese version of the site, DVD sales, free shipping, free trials, and plans starting at under $15. The only drawback is that most DVDs are Region 3. But hey, at least they’re the real deal.
I must say, I’m interested. It’s definetly worth checking out.

OMG! I’m so excited. I was waiting and waiting for someone to do this, in part because my mother (Japanese) doesn’t live in a place where she can get good Japanese DVDS.
The only catch here seems to be the whole “region” issue. I’ll have to figure out how to get her the appropriate DVD player. Thanks for posting this.

Marie: I’m glad that the mention of this can help you/your mom out. Yeah, the region thing is a hurdle but it’s easy if you can find a good/cheap player.
Kaifan: I believe that’s the point of eHit, to be an Asian Netflix for sure. YesAsia is a great site and definetly the Asian Amazon. I’ll have to check out ClubVCD.com though. It looks comparable to eHit. Thanks for the FYI.

Another to check out is Tigercinema.com. Seems they have better traffic and selection than eHit.com. YesAsia just seems to be an Asian amazon.
