When I was young I wanted to be a Power Ranger. Actually I still do, so this comes as my own philosophical how to. For those who don’t know, the American kids’ show Power Rangers is based off of the Japanese kids’ show Super Sentai. Super Sentai is a henshin show, which involves the stereotypical transforming Japanese superhero. So in order to be a Power Ranger, I must also be a member of Super Sentai.

Generations of Super Sentai Rangers

We can streamline the transformation to being a Japanese superhero into 5 steps. If all goes well, those steps can be accomplished in 5 days.

Day 1: If you want to be part of a henshin super hero posse, get 4 friends (2 guys, 2 girls) together. If you want to go solo, you can spend day 1 plotting and playing video games.

Day 2: This is very important. It’s costume time! First, decide a theme…do you want to look hi-tech or more organic? If you’re in a posse, now is the time to designate members’ colors: red (you), blue/green (smart male friend), black (cool male friend), yellow (smart female friend), and pink (cute female friend). For those solo heroes, pick a look and color as well, preferably red or green.

3 days to go,

Day 3: Gather a boss and some technology. You’ll need a boss-type figure to be in charge of and watch over you. He/she can be anything… a robot, an alien, another human, etc. Maybe your dad will do it. Next you’re going to need some substantial technology. Specifically speaking a secret base, the ability to morph into your super form, and some small robots that join together to form one giant robot. For the latter, have a look at some MegaZord schematics, I’m willing to bet that they’re somewhere.

Day 4: You now need enemies, so take the initiative and find them. We’re not talking petty thieves though, we’re talking evil aliens. If aliens are unavailable, resort to mutants. Once you identify evil aliens or mutants as potential nemeses, piss ‘em off. Make them mad, that way they’ll constantly attack you thus giving you a regular enemy to fight episode-to-episode.

Day 5: By now, you should be ready to morph and fight some baddies. Unfortunately you’ll probably only have 23 episodes to do so before your season is cancelled in preparation for the next generation of heroes. Oh well, you’ll have your fame for a while. Make the best of it. Kick some butt, teach some morals, and have every 5-10 year-old boy idolize you.

Generations of Super Sentai Rangers

These steps are the words which I intend to follow, so you should too. If you do choose to try to become a Japanese super hero in 5 days, do so at your own risk. Being a superhero is dangerous. I and SparkPlugged.net are not responsible for injury or death caused as a result.

With that said, good luck and It’s morphin’ time!

I donno about this whole “Become an inferior superhero by maxing out your credit card” business.

I mean sure it works for Bruce Wayne, but come on now. You’re way doesn’t even involve powers.

It’s all about that toxic waste, radioactivity, or ooze.

Ah.. I would like to point something out(asuming you are trying to be a real superhero).. Superu Sentai are NOT real! With today’s technology it is not posible to ‘Transform’ as you call it. You would need to have resources to know what you are up against…. And for mutants? The world’s various governments have any mutent threats covered. These are ofcourse secret, underground governments (which, I will point out, have both the pentagon and area 51 beat on power) that I suggest not crossing. Now, If you are just starting out, I would suggest starting with training. Train your body and mind. That I would stick with for two to five years. THEN, you can move onto crooks(only small time for awhile). After that move onto small gangs… Follow with bigger groups….

in short, It is NOT a work-week task to become a super-hero….

    sincerely,
