Everybody likes their camera phone, right? Well some Japanese might just like their’s a bit too much. Apparently, people have been using these tiny cameras at funerals. Some mourners actually pull out their camera phone to get that final snapshot of the dead.

Morbid? Creepy? Wierd? A creative use of technology? For better, but mostly worse, yes. What will these users think of doing with their cell phones next? Do we want to know?

    Well, in America people take sex video and pictures on their cell phones, is this really worse? I guess I could drone on about the way we put too much importance on death (largely spurred on by religion), but I think it’s not so bad. Plus, I think Japan has always sort of been on of those places where you see a lot more of the morbid curiosity en masse.

    Seems a little tacky eh? I had heard that some places in Japan were asking customers to not browse so long in magazine stores because women were using their camera phones to steal fashion ideas and hairstyles from the photos.
