LOVE ROMA

The book in reference is Love Roma volume 2 that comes out January, 31st. Now, obviously I’ve only been able to read the first book but I already love it.
Minoru Toyoda’s Love Roma, put out by Del Rey, follows the hilirous adventures of a young school-age couple. Through thick and thin, every happening is entertaining and funny. The couple, Hoshino and Negishi get into all sorts of things. Whether its Hoshino’s ridiculous honesty, their first kiss, making lunch for each other, or meeting the other’s parents, the story remains hilarious throughout. Love Roma is obviously a romantic comedy but it leans to be much more comedic than romantic.
Toyoda’s unique drawing style is charming and refreshing. The book looks like none other. The quirky art itself is enough to keep one engaged.
I recommend Love Roma to pretty much any manga reader. It helps if you like romance and/or comedy, stories of Japanese schoolkids, and tales of adolesence. It’s also easy to relate to if you’ve been in or are in a relationship. This manga is a high recommendation for sure.

I just started reading Love Roma today. I shyed away from it for awhile because the art realy wasn’t my style, but once I started reading it, I was HOOKED!
The lead male is soooo blunt and random, it’s like he’s never shy of anything. & the classs is just so wierd with all their support… =P
The artwork s indeed strange, but you’ll get over it.
I got over it on the 1st chapter cuz I was laughing too hard XD!
Yeah it’s really a great series!! :) I wish it were more than 5 volumes though. Love Roma is about the only series that’s made continuously laugh out loud :P Yeah, Hoshino is so funny — crazy kid!!
