Over the Christmas break one of my Japanese friends went back to Japan. At my request, he picked up a copy of the latest M-Flo album. “DOPE SPACE NINE” is a remix album from M-Flo. It follows their August release of a similar title, “BEAT SPACE NINE.” Many of the songs featured on “DOPE SPACE NINE” are remixes right off of the “BEAT SPACE NINE” CD. The remixes are quite diverse in sound compared to most remix cds.

Favorite tracks of mine include “To Your Beat” and “Taste Your Stuff”. Also included are remixes of the duo’s latest single “Loop in My Heart” and another popular song, “Let Go” featuring Yoshika.

The cover art is nice as well. It is the same as “BEAT SPACE NINE” but Verbal and Taku Takahashi look like metallic mannequins…very fitting.

If you don’t have a Japanese friend to bring it back from Japan for you, YesAsia carries the Japanese Version and the Overseas Version.
