IFEZed up
By Shay • Dec 8th, 2005 • Category: Korea, More, TechnologyI’ve recently seen an flashy commercial on TV for IFEZ, the Incheon Free Econimic Zone. Most of what I remember are skyscrapes, water, a kid, and buisness people on a walkway. Vague summary huh? That isn’t important though. This ad sparked much curiousity in my mind. A commericial advertising such a thing seems very unique. I was interested in exactly what it was. Being the geek that I am I had to find out.

IFEZ is a district in Incheon, South Korea that establishes a freindly business and living environment for foriegn businessmen. It sounds like a self-sufficent little city. The area is complete with districts, self-serving essentials, and some cool buildings. These quick observations kinda make me want to be an international businessman…not really. But regardless, I am more aware now.

So it’s basically just a large scale independently owned business city. I think the best way to make money here would be to own the entire place. Any ‘residents’ will be charged a premium to just be there.
