23-year-old actress Misako Yasuda will soon be back in middle school. She recently attended a promotion of “Rocket Boys,” a serial drama. She plays a middle school student.
We’re all use to seeing actors in their early 20′s making the stretch to play a high school student, but going back all the way to middle school is a bit far. You do the math; that’s like 12 years. Wow! That’s more than half her age! We’ll see if she pulls it off come January ’06.

In fairness, some actors in Battle Royale were in their mid-20s and played ninth-graders, who I believe were also technically middle schoolers.

Indeed the Battle Royale point is correct. They never seemed like middle schoolers to me, the could pass as high schoolers though. But Japanese girls seem good at being “young” hehe.
